Today, was a royal day in England. We made another bright and early start to our day. We successfully made our way into the center of London using Uber. We have found Uber to be the best price for travel so far. The conversations with our drivers are entertaining as well.
Today we enjoyed a stroll through London.
Danny Boy woke up to his daddy serving him cherries in bed! We decided to take our time this morning, allowing Danny to sleep until almost 11! After fourteen hours of sleep he woke cheerfully to cherries and conversation with Miss Emmy (who had been awake for hours waiting for him).
What an amazing flight over to Europe! We were greeted by Delta officials and treated incredibly special from the first moment we arrived all the way to the end! So many have shown Danny Boy love! I am richly rewarded to see the best of humanity in these moments. To see God show himself through others. It’s a humbling place to walk and yet so incredibly rewarding! The night before our big trip… Suitcases line the hall, checklists have been checked twice and Danny Boy sleeps by my bed because he is too excited to sleep in his room. If you haven’t heard, Danny boy is going to Europe! Continue reading “The night before our big trip…”

According to the MDA, “Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. It is one of nine types of muscular dystrophy.”
Last week, Danny Boy asked me, “Momma what is DMD?” I didn’t have a script for that moment. I spoke so fast I don’t even remember the explanation I gave him. Continue reading “What is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)?”
Danny boy has been enjoying his adventures in the kitchen. Buttering bread, helping clean the table, making Christmas cookies, and the list could go on and on.
This year I decided we would start a new tradition, the 25 days of sweets. And for the record, I don’t think anyone needs that many sweets! It’s been a challenge to complete. Danny has worked beside me. We have shared giggles, messes, and memories in the process. Continue reading “Adventures in the Kitchen”
